30 & 60mL systems

In contrast to the 10 to 20 mL PRP kits on the market, PainCare Technologies’ PRP systems are 30 and 60 mL. The main advantage of this is that by drawing more blood, a better quality and higher quantity PRP end product can be obtained. The average platelet content of human blood is 150,000 plt/μL to 450,000 plt/μL. In order for the PRP end product to reach the clinically sufficient volume and the appropriate platelet count of 1,000,000 plt/μL to 1,500,000 plt/μL [1], a minimum 6 to 9-fold concentration and higher blood volume are required. Accordingly, with the 60 mL kit, a final product of approximately 6 to 8 mL of PRP can be prepared to provide the clinically necessary growth factor concentration.

Benchtop Processing Station

The Benchtop Processing Station (BPS) allows to separate the entire "buffy coat" in a controlled and reproducible way without a large amount of red blood cells. This is essential to get the right result. The system is ergonomic and has a solid structure allowing a comfortable, fast and precise work.

The BPS does not require an electrical connection, it takes up about 20 cm x 20 cm space on the preparation desk.

'Push-Up' Procedure

The Benchtop Preparation Station makes it easy to get the full 'buffy coat'. The separated layers does not get stirred, a standard medical grade end product can be validly and reliably produced.

Suitable for preparing two types of PRP

‘Leukocyte-poor’ (LP-PRP) and ‘Leukocyte-rich’ (LR-PRP) PRP can be prepared according to the body part being treated.

One system for both PRP and Stem Cell treatments

The system is designed for PRP and autologous Bone Marrow Concentration (BMC or BMAC) Stem Cell treatments. The centrifuge and the BPS is suitable for preparing both. Additionally, with the appropriate adapters, the centrifuge can be used as a standard lab centrifuge for processing blood.

Not all PRP systems are the same

Give your patient the best and only use a validated regenerative system. The stem cell and PRP protocol developed by APEX Biologix is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). With the recommended preparation protocol, 6 to 9 times platelet concentration is achievable and the clinical quality of the product is guaranteed.

The platelet number in the PRP is essential

A certain number of platelet and growth factor concentration is needed for clinical efficacy. According to the Nature publication in 2021[1], ‘an absolute count of 10 billion platelets is crucial in a PRP formulation to have long sustained chondroprotective effect up to one year in moderate knee OA’. This quantity can only be made from larger amounts of blood. More blood means more platelets in the PRP. From 60 mL blood, 6 to 8 mL PRP can be produced having the necessary concentration.
